Catching Up....
Hey everyone, I apologize once again as it has been ages since the last time I posted. I figured it is about time i gave everyone a decent update on life. Where shall we start? I think work is a good place.
I work at The Home Depot. I have been there since March of last year. Coming up on my anniversary as well as my first weeks of Vacation Pay that I have had in a long time. I have worked in 6 different areas in The Home Depot (THD or HD from now on). The first position was overnight freight relief. I spent 3 months doing that and learning THD freight systems. not ultimately hard but it tended to be complicated as I had never before dealt with so much freight. The next position I held was Inventory Prep, this is where I applied tags, counted overhead contents, and pushed freight to the shelves in a fashion that required a very specific detail and account of what was being handled. The 3rd postion was Lot Attendant. Now you may ask why the backwards spiral? It was not backwards, that was the only open postion that allowed for me to move to days until I could fit in to mynext position. Lot Attendant is a job that requires more than people realize and I highly respect those that do it competantly and efficiently.
The 4th position I held was Cashier. I did cashiering for quite a while. Something like 6 months I believe. I learned as much of this area as I could and became competant with it. This position is invaluable in promotions within the company. Having a good to excellant understanding of how it works is vital to the company and how it operates. The 5th position I carried was simply called Tree Lot. In this position I sold Christmas Trees to customers. I cut the fresh cuts, suggested ideas, helped customers pick their trees, loaded trees on trucks (while preserving the husbands integrity if needed), and lastly kept a "clean house". My current and 6th position is Paint Associate. Here I mix up peoples paint requests, match their colors, help them decide on colors, and basically take care of them anyway I can possibly.
Now that is only my current position until Wednesday when I go back to work. (Today is Sunday) On this day I will still be considered a Paint Associate however, I will begin the Garden Recovery position I volunteered for. This is a graveyard shift, has more hours, and makes it possible to pick up a second job. The second job is vital as I plan on moving by the 1st of July.
I currently have 4 roommates, do not want anymore, and want to downsize on the roommates. I am not one to kick people out though. Not as long as they keep it respectful. I just ultimately would like some more privacy at home, like maybe walking around in my under shorts from time to time. This will change at the end of June anyway as I have choosen to downsize the apartment size to 2 bedroom 2 bath instead of three bedrooms and upsize the ammenities. I want a washer and dryer in the house, a patio, a dishwasher, etc. yes my car, hands, and feet work, but it would be good to live more comfortably. :)
My next topic is on that of men. Oh boy here we go again another I need a boyfriend bitch! Nope, not at all. I have a man, a man I am falling in love with. It is rough going as neither of us are good at this, but at the same time I do not want to air all the dirty laundry. I am not perfect, neither is he, but we are both working to a point to make it work. I pray that it does work. I am exhausted on this topic, I am tired of looking for a good man. Well, I found one, and I want to make it work. Will it? I have no clue. Do we care about each other? Yes. Do we spend time together? Yes. Do we enjoy each others silliness? Yes. What more do you want? Honestly, there isn't much more that cannot be worked out eventually. Every relationship (including friendships and familial relationships) need an iron and ironing board all day everyday.. How else can we grow as people and learn to be our best? We cannot!
Well, dare I say it? It is time to bid thee all adue. I thank you for reading my post and commenting if you do. Muah!
