Well dear followers, it has been too long since I have posted. So here are a few updates. Most recently, I have decided to move to Las Vegas because my grandfather is not doing well. He has been in the hospital for the last month and my grandmother does not do so well by herself. Currently (as of right now), I am in Vegas looking for work. Not my first choice in things to do having come from working as a General Manager now realizing that I may have to work for peanuts again. I can honestly say that I am tired of starting at the bottom of the food chain. But such as it is with my priorities system so I stick with the necessary. I was so close to being free but I know that could never happen on my salary in California. Bysaying being free I mean financial freedom. I currently have no debt but I have to wait for my last repo to get off my record before I can do anything more financially speaking. 4 years to go because they processed the repo a year late :S. Oh well, i can deal with it as with everything. So here is a list of jobs I have been looking at currently:
1. Cafe Rio - Declined my application :(
2. Cafe Zupas - Furthered my application (I have to make two videos and I am not very photogenic :S)
3. Las Vegas Convention Center - Waiting for my contact to get back to me with the information required.
4. Misc. jobs here and there - not really expecting much from these, may have to take 2 of them to make it by though.
This year for work has been very interesting, I no longer work at the store I orginally took over to manage, instead they transferred me on base (Camp Pendleton) and I run the furthest north store the company owns, however my notice has been put in for the 26th of this month.. November. I will end up missing Subway but as per who I am my family comes first always even if that means living out of my car to make ends meet. Such is life.
Anyhow, overall I am excited about the move, being closer to my auntie and my dad. It is important to me that they get the time they need to take care of themselves as well as my grandmother and grandfather. What they are doing I have a lot of respect for especially since I know it will happen to me as I will be the only one of my siblings to care enough to take care of my mother or deal with what she needs to have done to survive a full life. I wish that that were not true but she has burned many bridges in her life including those with her kids. It is a sad ordeal but one that is true enough. My reasoning for that I will be the one to take care of her is that I do care and it is important to me overall that anyone that is family whether they do anything for me or not is taken care of. based on my job history and where I have lived that can be seen as true. However, I do not think most employers understand that probably due to people using that as an excuse or a reason all to often for leaving a job thus making it look like a lie or omission on the prospective employees part. I know I have had my suspicions in the past based on what the person has proven to me that their character is like, unfortunately I am right most of the time.
Well, it is probably high time I get back to the job search, though I cannot say it is easy or going well I should be ok. One way or another I will be working sometime next month, I cannot afford to not have any work right now and it would not be fair to expect my family to support me and my bills.
